Meals in the Chalet

 

Chalet food is firmly in the hands of Kirsty, our in-house kitchen-ninja. Kirsty is a highly-experienced chef who, together with partner Colin, have years of experience in restaurants and running high-end catered ski chalets.

Kirsty's food will blow you away! Over the years, we've experimented with a lot of different styles in the kitchen and we've settled on keeping it simple, but absolutely top-drawer quality.  When you need to re-fuel after a big day on the hill, it's not the time for fancy ! 

​

All our holiday prices include meals on a half-board basis. That gets you hot breakfast every day, three-course dinner 6 nights per week (we take Wednesdays off) and all the cakes, tea, coffee, wine and beer you can handle (that's right, free beer!). We also run a small bar with a selection of more interesting beers, etc.

​

We also provide packed lunches - we supply stocks of bread, ham, cheese etc for you to make your own sandwiches in the morning plus we provide cereal bars, fruit, chocolate, etc.. We keep lunch flexible as some days we're out in the wilds and a packed-lunch is essential, other days there's plenty of cafés and restaurants that we can stop off at, if you prefer.

We can cater for most special dietary requirements if we're given enough warning so please let us know your needs as early as possible. We've catered for many, many different diets in the past, from vegetarians to severe allergies so we're happy to handle almost anything.

For our night off, it's your chance to try the local bars and restaurants of Bourg Saint Maurice.  There is a place to suit every taste, from simple pizza and burger bars through to high-end French restaurants.  There is a lively river-side bar/restaurant within 5 minutes walk of the chalet and it's also a great spot to stop on the way home for a post-ride beer.

Crona & Matt looked after us so well - food was to die for. Best chalet food we have ever eaten. Incredible at catering for my special diet so I didn’t miss out on anything.
